Last month the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Hayward Tyler to officially open their new Centre of Excellence facility and present them with the Queen’s award for Enterprise.

Hayward Tyler were given this award for their outstanding achievement as a UK business for commercial success in international trade and becoming world leaders in boiler circulated pumps.

The Centre of Excellence was planned using WITNESS software which allowed them to build a 3D visual of the proposed facility from scratch. The visual and business impact of moving from their 2D to 3D model was fantastic as the 3D model supported their Centre of Excellence plans in a much more visually-appealing way. In additional to this their WITNESS simulation model also reduced the Centres main product lead-time by a further 10 weeks.

Through using predictive simulation, they were able to embed “What-if” scenario planning capability to benefit their strategic partners throughout the entire supply chain and successfully maximise performance and resource utilisation and optimise throughput.

For more information on Hayward Tyler’s successful use of simulation and to watch Oliver Buhlinger, Continuous Improvement Engineer at Hayward Tyler speaking about the benefits at the 2016 Lanner Predictive Simulation User Conference read our blog.
