David Jones, Lanner CEO comments “This is an exciting new phase for both Royal HaskoningDHV and Lanner. Since Lanner became part of the RHDHV family back in 2019, we have been making great strides in ensuring we can provide our customers with the very best technology, not only from Lanner, but by harnessing the wider companies knowledge and expertise to bring greater value across all sectors. With us now being a part of Royal HaskoningDHV Digital, we have a connected network of transformative digital offerings, enabling smarter businesses decisions in the future”.
Royal HaskoningDHV CEO Erik Oostwegel: “By connecting digital capabilities to our domain knowledge, we give our clients the insights and agility they need to turn reactive decision-making into real-time and predictive control.
“We bring together more than 25 years of data science capabilities and software development. Combining that work with almost 140 years of engineering consultancy knowledge, means we are in an even stronger position to support our clients with sustainable, futureproof solutions that enhance society.”

Digital Transformation

Since its strategy was launched in 2017, the company has had a clear focus on growing the business by developing innovative services and software products like digital twins and intelligent hazard monitoring, as well as adopting more digital ways of working, such as automated engineering.

“We see the worlds of business, operations, and IT converging,” said Niels Schallenberg. “The increasing amount of available data is dramatically altering our clients’ business and operating models, customer experience and the way they design their assets.”

Royal HaskoningDHV Digital will support governments, businesses, and other organisations throughout their digital transformation journeys, helping them navigate complex challenges, secure market positions, and provide superior products and services.

“Now more than ever, business decisions are influenced by data-driven insights and simulation. Working alongside our clients and partners, Royal HaskoningDHV Digital will support this exact process,” said Schallenberg.

Royal HaskoningDHV Digital’s approach has already inspired businesses like the Swedish multinational power company Vattenfall to collaborate for significant impact on their renewable energy plans.

“Realising fossil-free living within one generation requires truly bold ideas, strong collaborative partnerships and stellar execution,” said Florian Grossmann, Business Development Manager at Vattenfall.
“For us, it was a no-brainer to team up with Royal HaskoningDHV Digital as a forward-thinking partner with complementary expertise in digital venture design, information management and environmental science.”
