India-based Sakhare to Support Lanner’s Expansion in Major Growth Market

Lanner, a provider of simulation software proven to maximise performance and optimise resources, today announced an agreement with Sakhare, an Indian-based IT consultancy. As part of the agreement, Sakhare will capitalise on the increasing demand for process simulation in India, growing market share of Lanner’s flagship WITNESS software across a number of markets to include manufacturing; energy; healthcare; financial services; transportation; media and entertainment; government; telecommunications; retail; natural resources; and education.

Founded in 2008 and based in New Delhi, Sakhare provides software, consultancy and services to a wide range of industries. Through its partnership with Lanner, the company will add the simulation and optimisation capabilities of WITNESS to its proposition, helping customers to achieve greater efficiencies, boost performance and enhance decision-making.
“While organisations increasingly recognise the importance of simulation, the market still requires a great deal of education on how simulation can support decision-making and drive business performance,” comments Dhanraj Sakhare, Chairman and Managing Director, Sakhare. “It is great to be working with a global leader with an established reputation in our markets, and we look forward to making this partnership a highly successful one.”

David Jones, CEO, Lanner comments:

"Simulation is integral to applying next generation business analytics which optimise decision-making, and as organisations across the world continue to recognise this, our global channel network remains core to our strategy going forward. We welcome partners which share our values and vision, and are delighted to work with Sakhare to build upon our footprint in the Indian market.”

Lanner and Sakhare both attended the International Simulation Conference of India (ISCI) 21-23 February 2013, an event which provides a forum for simulation professionals to exchange knowledge, ideas and best practice. The second conference in the series, last year’s event welcomed over 160 attendees and saw more than 70 world class presentations.
