Lanner unveils its L-SIM Server solution

Lanner, a provider of simulation software proven to maximise performance and optimise resources, today unveiled its L-SIM Server solution, a BPMN 2.0 compliant simulation capability for use within third party business process solutions. An evolution of Lanner’s original L-SIM embedded simulation product, the new version enables easy creation of models from BPMN diagrams, and fast, accurate statistical results - crucially without the need for extensive integration.

In supporting the BPMN 2.0 process model interchange, the creation of simulation models from BPMN diagrams is greatly simplified. L-SIM Server is also compliant with the emerging WfMC Process Analysis Framework (PAF), which extends the interchange to support all data needed to run simulations and return results.

Alex Wentzo, CEO of Casewise, a BPM solutions provider, and adopter of Lanner’s L-SIM Server, comments,

“Simulation has a strategic role to play in our forward thinking initiatives and offers our customers real added value by prototyping in a safe environment before real world execution.
“Through seamless integration with the Casewise Product Suite, L-SIM’s high performance for simulating BPMN 2.0 models enables our customers to achieve superior results.”
“Proprietary formats have, in the past, hindered the development of comprehensive simulation capabilities within BPM suites,” comments David Jones, CEO, Lanner. “However with the introduction of BPMN 2.0 and server-based products such as our latest offering, accessing BPMN compliant simulation is no longer an issue. Available on a desktop, cloud or private cloud, L-SIM Server means that comprehensive BPMN simulation can now be performed through the exchange of standardised serialised XML files, providing flexible, powerful simulation capability which is easy to install and scalable.”
Lanner’s original L-SIM embedded simulation technology is already used within a number of partners’ BPM suites and software products. These include; Software AG Aris, IBM, PNMSoft SEQUENCE, Oracle BPA Suite, SAP Business Process Optimization, all of whom will be upgraded to the new BPMN 2.0 compliant L-SIM Server solution in the next 12 months.
