  • Check-in. WITNESS has been used to simulate passenger flow through the check-in area, focusing on quantifiable customer service measures e.g. the percentage of passengers queuing for more than a specified time.
  • Security. Models have simulated changes to personnel deployment and the effect on queuing of the introduction of additional electronic arches.
  • Baggage Handling. New baggage handling facilities and proposed conveyor systems have been simulated to test their performance against current traffic levels, as well as proposed future changes in schedules and aircraft sizes.
