WITNESS Power with Ease Release
08 July 10
Further advances in virtual representation will be combined with a wide range of ease of use and power features......

Lanner’s Power with Ease program for WITNESS continues apace. Later in the year, Power with Ease version 3 will be unleashed and will offer the next step ahead in terms of simulation excellence. Further advances in virtual representation will be combined with a wide range of ease of use and power features. A greater range of 3D shapes and animations, allied to extended carpet and environment manipulation will add to the VR power of Quick3D that was introduced to wide acclaim in Power with Ease version 1.

Allied to this technological advance, we have continued to talk to our customers and we have now implemented an even fuller customer review process. The new in-depth interviews and other contributions made through the Lanner support portal have yielded a host of great ideas and innovation. These will start to feed through in Power with Ease Release 3.

Some ideas are simple:

  • The ability to change the type of variables and attributes once defined
  • A new range of colour options for fluid
  • Improvements to graphical alignment options

Some are much more complex and will include new control options:

  • Greater flexibility for breakdown and setup logic
  • New path network innovation
  • Many items to aid productivity in both creating and using models

Watch out for these in WITNESS Power with Ease 3.0 available later this year and for the new licensing options including automatic activation and full Windows 7 Logo badging adding to the current full support of WITNESS on XP, VISTA and Windows 7.
