Today, Lanner Consultant Craig Clee offers another helpful tip for Quick 3D.
A Carpet is a 2D Picture on the floor in the 3D world.
If you select a machine or activity to display as a carpet, the 2D display is drawn on the floor (carpet) in the 3D world. A more common use is to display a layout such as a factory layout on the carpet in the 3D world. Combine this with extrusions of lines around the edge of the layout (last week’s blog) and your 3D world is transformed into a much improved representation.
• To draw a carpet, update the display of the icon in 2D
• Click on 3D button
• Change the display mode to Use as a Carpet
Do this for all the icons that you want to use as a carpet and run quick 3D
